Chelsea Clinch Champions League Spot with 1-0 Victory Over Nottingham Forest

Meanwhile, Newcastle United's 1-0 loss to Everton at St. James' Park added to the drama of the final day. Despite the defeat, Newcastle secured Champions League football due to Aston Villa's 2-0 loss to Manchester United, which featured a controversial disallowed goal for Villa. 

Chelsea's victory marks a successful end to Enzo Maresca's first season in charge, with the team showing significant improvement and resilience. The win not only guarantees participation in Europe's premier club competition but also sets a positive tone for the upcoming season.
