Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (IE) has released new way to generate KCT tokens using USSD short code which is available to MTN, 9Mobole and on Glo subscribers only.
All customers are advise to generate KCT tokens after they have successful linked their prepaid meter number with NIN (National Identify Number).
You will need to generated two KCT tokens that you will load on the prepaid meter, firstly is to wide away old settings from the meter while the second KCT token will upgrade the meter to new STS meter platform.
How To Generate KCT Tokens with USSD Code
According to the Ikeja Electric Distribution Company all customers must link their prepaid meter to NIN first before they can get KCT tokens.
To generate the two (2) KCT tokens with USSD Code, kindly note that this update is available for only MTN, mobile and Glo subscribers.
Go to your Smartphone and *7024# or *7025# on your phone, select option 2 for tokens retrieval and input your meter number to retrieve your meter KCT.
Note that IKEDC will charged #20 for the service of KCT tokens generation.
How To Generate KCT Tokens Online
Simply login to www.ikejaelectric.com/kctcheck
Once you have visits the above link, space will be open for you to put your meter number and click next to retrieve your KCT tokens.
Then the KCT tokens generated either online or using USSD Code will be load on your prepaid meter.
How to Load KCT Tokens
To load your tokens, kindly press the tokens digits on your meter and press #, good luck your have successfully loaded the tokens on the prepaid meter.
